Jordan Daniel
Jordan is an iOS Developer at the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health at the University of Georgia. He graduated in 2013 from the Valdosta State University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. Jordan developed the Squeal on Pigs app shortly after joining the Center. He built and maintained numerous iOS applications for the EDDMapS System, including regional reporting apps like Great Lakes Early Detection Network, IveGot1, and Washington Invasives, as well as specialized tools such as Healthy Trees, Healthy Cities, Georgia Bats in Bridges, GA Cotton Insect Advisor and SE Agricultural Stink Bug ID. In 2017, Jordan led the development of EDDMapS Pro, introducing offline data management, photo documentation features, and monitoring zones for targeted species. In 2021, he consolidated regional apps into a single EDDMapS app. His work also includes the WildSpotter project, which allows species reporting within defined "wild places." Jordan's ongoing efforts focus on modernizing tools and integrating new features to enhance the applications usefulness in invasive species management.
