Kayla Botton

Program Support Assistant

Kayla is a Program Support Assistant with the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health. She helps keep the Bugwood Image Database accurate and up to date by entering image information, updating invasive species lists, and adding publications to the resource database.

Prior to her current role, she worked at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus as a Library Assistant, where she digitized images and documents for the campus Centennial project, organized images and descriptions, and handled library checkouts and returns. She also helped patrons find articles and books and managed incoming journals for faculty and staff.

In January 2025, Kayla transitioned to Bugwood upon the closure of the Tifton Campus Library. At Bugwood, she continues to apply her 12 years of experience in organizing information and supporting digital resources, supporting the goal of sharing reliable information with researchers, educators, and the public.
