Provided Feeds of Images and Information to External Web Application

The Center is currently in the process of implementing open Web services to all of our information resources using XML-based Web services protocols. This will allow users to better integrate our images and information into their web applications.

We currently are running Web services with the following partners:

The mission of the Southern Plant Diagnostic Network is to enhance national agricultural security by quickly detecting introduced pests and pathogens. This will be achieved by creating a functional nationwide network of public agricultural institutions with a cohesive, distributed system to quickly detect deliberately introduced, high consequence, biological pests and pathogens into our agricultural and natural ecosystems by providing means for quick identifications and establishing protocols for immediate reporting to appropriate responders and decision makers."

PestTracker is the public access web site of the National Agricultural Pest Information System (NAPIS), the agricultural pest tracking database of the US Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey (CAPS).

gpdd Global Pest and Disease Database

The Global Pest and Disease Database (GPDD) is an exotic pest information archive originally proposed in the USDA-APHIS-PPQ Safeguarding Review in 1999. The GPDD serves as a secure electronic storehouse of scientific information about potentially invasive pests of concern to United States agriculture.
